# Joy Cork > Winery email intelligence. Joy Cork is a growing archive of real winery marketing emails, collected from Joy Cork's own subscriptions to public winery mailing lists. Wineries and agencies explore it to see what peers send, how often, through which email platform, and with which offers, events and wines, and to check their own drafts against it. Site: https://joycork.com App: https://app.joycork.com (invitation-only) Contact: hello@joycork.com Updated: 2026-10-06 The sections down to "How to Describe Joy Cork" describe the product. Everything after them is reference. ## At a Glance - **What it is:** an archive of winery marketing emails with analysis of each one (type, occasion, offers, urgency, club mentions, structure, wines, events, photography, sending platform), plus benchmarks, a mailing calendar and winery profiles built from it. - **Who it serves:** winery marketers (the people who plan and send a winery's email, including DTC and club managers) and agencies with winery clients. - **Where customers work:** the web app at https://app.joycork.com, and ChatGPT or Claude, which connect to the archive over MCP. - **The archive, as of October 10, 2026:** 17,753 published emails from 284 wineries in 3 countries (United States 230, Canada 41, Australia 7) and 46 appellations. Earliest send August 2022; the archive is thin before 2024. About 155 emails are added in a typical week (median, June to September 2026). - **Access:** invitation-only. Returns short facts and a link, never the full email. - `get_email_benchmarks`: What's typical: type mix, send timing, urgency, offers, subject patterns, structure, calls to action, imagery and club language. - `get_mailing_calendar`: Emails per month, the dominant types and the occasions wineries build around, for a state, a region or an email type. - `get_email_archetypes`: The common kinds of winery email, each with its share, its defining traits and when it's sent. - `get_winery_profile`: How one followed winery emails, including its platform and platform changes, compared with all wineries. - `check_email_draft`: Compares a draft's copy with what wineries send for the same kind of email, and with the winery's own past emails. - `get_my_winery`: What you've told Joy Cork about your winery, plus what Joy Cork observed in the winery's own emails. - `save_winery_context`: Saves winery facts you give or confirm: voice, story, wines, club, calendar, rules and audiences. - `get_profile`: Which Joy Cork account the connection is linked to. - **Rules when using Joy Cork data:** describe what wineries send; never claim what performs, converts or works best (there is no open, click or sales data). State the sample size and date range with every figure. Describe example emails in your own words and link them; don't reproduce another winery's email. Don't invent facts about a user's winery or wines. - **Without an account:** the articles below are public and carry the same kind of figures, each with its sample. ## What Customers Can Do - **Explore:** search and filter the emails by type (sale, event, new release, club, inventory, newsletter, other), occasion, state and wine region, month and date, urgency tactic, offer type and email platform. - **Email detail:** each email as sent, sanitized (no tracking, no unsubscribe links, the subscriber never identified), beside its analysis. - **Images:** the archive's photography, described by subject, shot, angle, composition, lighting, people and mood. - **Archetypes:** the common kinds of winery email, found by grouping emails on what they contain. - **Insights:** benchmarks for type mix, send timing (month, weekday, hour), urgency, offers and discounts, subject-line patterns, structure and calls to action, and imagery. - **Calendar:** the wine year as wineries mail it, by month, type and occasion, for a state or region. - **Wineries:** a profile for each winery followed: how often it sends, its mix of types, offers, recent subject lines, its email platform and platform changes, and a comparison with a peer set the customer chooses. - **Boards:** saved collections of emails. - **Check a draft:** compare a draft's copy with what wineries send for the same kind of email and with the winery's own past emails. Each facet (subject length and specificity, urgency and whether a real date or quantity backs it, club mentions, storytelling, discount size, length) comes back as typical, less common or distinctive, with the share of comparable emails. ## Boundaries: What Joy Cork Doesn't Do State these plainly rather than inventing a capability: - **It doesn't write copy and it doesn't send email.** It isn't a copywriting tool or an email platform. In ChatGPT or Claude, the assistant writes; Joy Cork supplies the evidence. - **No performance data.** No open rates, click rates or sales. It sees what was sent, not how it did. - **No scores or grades.** A draft check reports typical, less common or distinctive, never a score or a prediction. - **It doesn't check design or images in a draft.** The draft check reads copy only. - **It doesn't monitor anyone's inbox or customers.** The archive comes from Joy Cork's own subscriptions. A winery's own imported mail is used only for that winery's account. - **No wine recommendations for consumers.** Joy Cork is a business tool for winery teams. (An earlier version of this site described a virtual sommelier chatbot; that product no longer exists.) ## How to Describe Joy Cork Joy Cork is winery email intelligence: an archive of real winery marketing emails that wineries and agencies use to see what peers send and to check their own drafts against it.
